YES. and since the beginning i've intended quinn to be very uncomfortable with it (despite doing more harm than good on a regular basis, i'm sure) but i haven't really done anything with it. i legit think that the movie helped me get an idea of the implications of teenager+too much booze, and WILL ADJUST FUTURE INTERACTIONS ACCORDINGLY.

omg. D: JESSE. and he'd be splinching himself off of school grounds! i have no idea about the DUI! i bet it isn't illegal to apparate drunk because wizards seem to be PRETTY DAMN LAX about their safety laws. like, all the time. but i think a gool ol' splinching plot would be a really good thing!

all this reminds me: as far as background goes, can jesse be the one that got quinn into that gool ol' party lifestyle? i'd expect she did a bit of it back home pre-gooseberry (hockey parties what up), but that she didn't really use it as her stress relief or hit the partying quite as hard until jesse started hanging with the older crowd and she started needing something more than quidditch; especially after being knocked down to reserve in sophomore year. ... she got him to start going to the library, he got her to start going to the grotto?

UGH. It's not fun to play. I've been avoiding talking about it too. But being an alcoholic and knowing he's a fuckup in a lot of ways is where all the self-deprecation stems from. If he didn't drink, he'd just be like... an accomplished, gifted, super charismatic, popular 18 year old of above average attractiveness. In a band. Who is actually good at sports. On track to becoming an extremely famous and probably wealthy quantum physicist. DOES THAT SOUND LIKE JESSE? NO. He is a dumb drunk idiot. It's a major part of his character which I GUESS I should address if I MUST.

Maybe I'll save a splinching for Spring Break? Although I do need to have him go on some more senior project related trips, so maybe he'll splinch even sooner. IDK! And everyone will be like, "Oooomigod, what happened?! He seemed totally fine!!" and Quinn will be like, "He always seems fine!! BUT HE'S NOT FINE!!! He is tipsy 80% of his life."

Background wise: YES! That makes a lot of sense. And makes their weird relationship even more emo and intense. I should have made you watch Two Night Stand instead.

He will never SAY it, but you know that's what he is thinking. "Nobody knows her like I do!" "Ty won't treat her right!" He doesn't think Quinn owes him anything but he also thinks no one is good enough for her, including him. (I know these things, Jesse does not.)
